As the JoonyaT.com servers were being moved around yesterday. I decided that i would ressurect my podomatic account, and make THE JANUARY MIX 2010 Exclusivly available there. Since my new site launched last year I havent really had much use for the podomatic account as I have my own podcast linked to my site (http://joonyat.com/feed/podcast).
I figured, why not. So Im checking my stats today like I usually do and behold. Joonya T jumps 10,000+ spots to 327 worldwide with the release of just 1 MIX. Thanks again to all my supporters who have proven that my monthly mix series is something that people really look forward to. I will keep podomatic updated starting from this month with all my new mixes, however because of space limitations, podomatic will only host 3-4 of the NEWEST mixes only. And as usual you can always check www.JoonyaT.com for the ARCHIVE!

As many know, I actually started DJing about 10 years back. With crates & shoe boxes of reggae music. Something that allowed me to gauge my audience was the birth of online streaming which became popular around 1999-2000 with the birth of “Shoutcast” a small plugin that would work in conjunction with “Winamp”.. The Problem with this method was simple.. People would connect directly to the DJ’s IP. So After about 30 listeners, unless the DJ dramatically dropped the quality of the stream the listeners would experience frequent buffer drop outs.
Fastforward 8-9 years, enter USTREAM. This popular website has taken the web world by storm. Being used by some of the biggest names in the industry, including P. Diddy, & Ashton Kutcher, who broadcast live regularly giving their viewers a behind the scenes look at anything from a Studio session, to a race to 1 million users on Twitter.
Unlike the traditional method I will be using this service to stream live audio from “The Lab”.. As of now there are no set times on when they will occur, but set times should be decided upon shortly. As many should have already heard, the newest social network craze is Twitter. For those who are not in the know, I have made it easier for you to follow what I’m up to. Twitter or “Twitting” is a way to let those “following you” know what your up to. Think of it as a 140 character Facebook status, that’s changed depending on what you people to know, hear, see [all via links]. Look at the Twitter bar on the bottom of the sidebar, its just an update on what I’m working on, maybe eating, ideas I might be thinking about, ANYTHING !!
With everyone on Twitter now, the question that some are trying to figure out is. Who needs the T.V. ?? We can hear about whoever we want straight from the source now… Ashton Kutcher leads the Twitter Nation with now over 1.2 million followers, recently beating CNN in a race to 1 million. Which has CNN baffled because now he literally has more “online say” than they do on Twitter. Watch the video below, it gives you some insight on the recent info, the funny thing is VIA Twitter we “the followers” were able to stay immediately up to date with everything, even watching Diddy enter the Larry King conversation backstage via Diddy’s Ustream TV link .. CRAZY !

As many of you know one of the greatest producers of Underground Dance music, is in town for his yearly stopover. Thats right DENNIS FERRER will be in Toronto this Friday!
In typical Joonya T fashion you know it wouldn’t be an official party without THE MEGAMIX.. After the tremendous feedback I have recieved from the 1st Dennis Ferrer Megamix I made in 2007 its only fair that I make one for his return in 2008.. Below is a quick look @ the tracks I will be using for the mix, some old some new including his next smash single Featuring Dido. Stay tuned because I gaurentee that this one will be CERTIFIED FIRE !!
